Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients:
(Serves 4)
1kg (2.2lb) beef mince
1 carrot – grated
1 carrot – diced
2 celery sticks – sliced
1 garlic clove – crushed
1 tin (can) diced tomatoes
1 packet of beef soup
1 packet spaghetti
Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons water
1 cup warm water
Salt and pepper – to taste
Method:
Add the 3 tablespoons of water to a large saucepan.
Turn the heat to medium/high.
Add, and fry, the carrot, celery, and garlic together.
Add the beef.
Stir through until the beef has just cooked.
Add the tin (can) of tomatoes.
Stir through.
In a small bowl, mix the beef soup and 1 cup of warm water together.
Add the soup to the mince.
Stir through.
Turn down the heat and allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until slightly thick.
Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the back of the packet.
Serve the Bolognese with parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil.
