Spicy BBQ Wings

(Serves 4-6)

  • 4.4 lbs. (2kg) chicken wings

  • ²⁄₃ cup compact brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon celery powder

  • ²⁄₃ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2¼ teaspoons smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 2 teaspoons roast chicken stock powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C)

Line two baking trays with baking paper and set aside.

In a large sized bowl, mix the sugar, onion powder, celery powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, roast chicken stock, salt and pepper together.

Generously coat each chicken wing in the spice rub.

Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Flip and bake for a further 8-10 minutes on medium low, or until golden brown, caramelized, sticky and cooked through.

Serve with ice-cold beer, cider, or a glass of white wine.
