BBQ Sauce Recipe by Nadine Lloyd


(Makes 1 Jar)

  • 1 large onion – finely shaved

  • 2 garlic cloves – crushed

  • ¾ cup bacon – finely diced

  • ½ cup tomato paste

  • 1½ cups tomato sauce

  • 1 cup treacle

  • ½ cup red wine vinegar

  • 2-3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1-2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

  • 1½ teaspoons paprika

  • 1½ teaspoons coriander

  • Salt and pepper – to taste


Fry the onion, garlic and bacon, over a medium heat, until soft.

Add the remaining ingredients.

Lower the heat and stir through until slightly thickened.
Taste and adjust the flavour by adding salt and pepper.

Remove from the heat and allow to cool over night.
