Ingredients: (Makes two medium round or one large rectangular base)
-
1 sachet (2 tsp) active dry yeast
-
2 cups bread flour – plus extra (for dusting)
-
1 teaspoon caster sugar
-
¼ teaspoons fine pink Himalayan salt
-
1¼ cups lukewarm water
-
2-3 cloves garlic – crushed into a paste
-
¼ teaspoon fine white pepper – to season
-
Garlic oil – for greasing
Method:
Either use a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment or a bread machine on the dough setting.
Combine the yeast, flour, sugar, warm water, garlic, salt, and pepper together.
Continue kneading until fully incorporated and a soft smooth dough comes together.
Generously coat the inside of a large bowl with a layer of garlic oil.
Place the dough ball into the bowl.
Generously coat the ball of dough in garlic oil.
Cover and seal the bowl with cling wrap, then place a tea towel over the top.
Set aside for 1-2 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size.
Lightly flour a clean flat work surface.
Using clean, oiled hands, knock back the dough.
Evenly divide the dough into 2-3 balls.
Place each ball onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Drizzle each ball with extra garlic oil.
Cover each tray with cling wrap.
Set aside for a further 25-30 minutes before flattening into the pizza shape of your choice.
