by Nadine Lloyd

Ingredients:

(Serves 4-6)

  • 4.4 lbs. (2kg) chicken wings

  • 1 cup melted butter

  • ¼ cup Sriracha sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Tabasco sauce

  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

  • 2 teaspoons onion powder

  • 1½ teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon celery powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • ½ cup sliced red/green chilies

  • Lime wedges

Method:

Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C)

Line two baking trays with baking paper and set aside.

Melt the butter in a medium sized saucepan.

Stir in the Sriracha sauce, Tabasco sauce, cayenne pepper, onion, garlic, celery, salt, and pepper until completely combined.

Using a pastry brush, coat the chicken wings with half the hot butter sauce.

Place the pieces on the lined trays.

Bake for 10-15 minutes.

Flip the wings and brush the remaining butter sauce over the wings.

Bake for a further 10-20 minutes, or until light golden brown and cooked through.

Garnish with freshly sliced chili.

Serve hot with lime wedges and an ice-cold beer or glass of white wine.
